Located in the heart of the Midwest, Helm was awarded the contract to provide mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other specialty services scopes for the DeKalb Data Center. Highly focused on team collaboration the owner, general contractor, and Helm began early in the design phase to plan for every aspect of this fast-paced, highly technical project. As the Midwest’s trusted data center contractor, Helm focused on the implementation of our core construction practices for transparent and constant discussions with all trades to produce higher predictability and smoother workflow.

At over 2,000,000 square feet and a tight production schedule VDC/BIM coordination among all stakeholders has been a top priority and will continue through the duration of the project. Early construction metrics of the data center include over 320,000 feet of piping and just over 1.3 million pounds of ductwork.
