Rockford Public Schools

The Rockford School District is the third largest in Illinois and serves over 28,000 students.  With 47 buildings ranging in age from 5 to 110 years old, the district needed a versatile facility management partner.  Helm Service integrated 8 proprietary controls systems into one new interface to provide a single point of access for controlling, monitoring, scheduling, and altering for their HVAC equipment and lighting.   Consisting of over 130,000 points, the BAS system allows scheduling for all building HVAC equipment to provide optimal comfort and energy efficiency levels, while tailored to the ever-changing schedule of events and programs that these schools facilitate.
