CSL Behring
Project Everest was an expansion of production capability of injectable drugs for CSL Behring in Bradley, IL. Coupled with a compressed schedule and advanced quality control program, the project team worked tirelessly to provide the solution deserved by our customer.
Complete scope included all Process Piping, HVAC systems, and the installation of 16 clean-in-place (CIP) skids, 12 Buffer tanks, 10 GAFF filters, 7 Pooling tanks, 16 Fractional tanks, 4 Filter presses and 7 Air handler units, all of which was owner furnished equipment. The installation included 24,000 bio-pharmaceutical sanitary welds with complete ASME BPE turn-over and validation. This was accomplished in 7 months. An additional 6,000 ASME B31.1 utility welds were installed at the same time.
Helm was responsible for handling all coordination of OFCI equipment throughout the project. Based on the project and site needs Helm coordinated all logistics and necessary prefabrication efforts in order to meet schedule needs. Through these coordination efforts Helm was the only contractor onsite to achieve milestone dates. Pleased with our schedule management, CSL Behring assigned schedule management to Helm for all trades and scopes of work including electrical, architectural, commissioning, and fire protection.
Helm was also responsible for system design, 3D BIM modeling, ISO Drawing generation and an interactive ASME BPE compliant ETO package.
