With roots dating back to 1946, Helm’s divisions have completed literally thousands of projects. At the Rock Island Wet Weather Treatment Plant, the new solids handling building was placed adjacent to the existing clarifiers, administration building, and other structures that were scheduled to remain in place. The project in Belleview, Iowa was a complete refacing of the existing lock. Precast concrete panels were placed immediately in front of the existing wall and the void was filled with concrete. This project was completed over a winter shutdown period with extensive phased scheduling requirements.
