Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital

Helm was awarded a $30 million contract for the HVAC and plumbing scopes of work for a new patient care tower at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL. This multi-year project required a great deal of coordination for all trades. As a design assist project, Helm was also contracted to provide design services to the project team.  The Helm design team attended and provided project input at weekly meetings with both the design and construction teams. Helm’s construction and design teams collaborated on preliminary design and assist in cost estimation for project improvement opportunities. As this is an existing hospital, the Helm engineering team provided services to assist in the interface of new mechanical systems with the existing facility infrastructure. Throughout the project the Helm design team provided construction support to the Helm construction team.
