Helm extended an existing 42-inch trunk sewer along the Rock River and Illinois Route 251 to connect with a current 21-inch sewer line at Spring Creek Rd.  A Series of 66-inch borings under a railroad and major highway were required.  In order to install the new sewer, the existing system was maintained with a series of bypass bumps.  Because the sewer route ran along the Rock River, the work area required extensive dewatering throughout construction.
